All aboard for the all new Casey Jones Home & Railroad Museum located in Jackson, Tennessee!

We are honored to have the traveling exhibit "Free at Last!" at the Museum February 3rd through March 20th as part of the Museum tour. It is on loan from the Tennessee Civil War National Heritage Area administered by the Center for Historic Preservation at Middle Tennessee State University. Our thanks to the media and their great interest in this exhibit. The Associated Press shared the story at news outlets around the country and locally the exhibit has been featured on WBBJ-TV, the front page of the Jackson Sun and local radio stations. We are most grateful for the interest in the important topic this exhibit covers - Civil War era Emancipation. We trust you will be able to visit while the exhibit is at the Museum.

Our special for the Museum through March 2012 is one FREE Casey Jones Museum admission with one paid adult admission ($6.50) with your buffet receipt from our restaurant in Casey Jones Village ~ Brooks Shaw's Old Country Store. Just turn in your receipt at the Museum and enjoy a free pass. It's a wonderful way to explore Jackson's railroad history!

The exciting "Train Station" addition to the Museum is located right next to the historic family home of Casey Jones. We have beautiful exhibit halls and are proud to have the Jackson Room dedicated to Jackson's rich railroad history. We also have a room dedicated to Casey Jones' famous last ride as well as a Theatre to view a short film on the story of Casey Jones. We have three authentic railcars in our collection and kids of all ages are welcome to climb aboard the Engine and ring the bell just like Casey.

Norma Taylor has written a wonderful book on Casey Jones that is available in the Train Store at the Museum!

Casey Jones Historical Fund ~ We are in the process of expanding exhibits, doing further restoration work to the Casey Jones Home and renovating our railcar and caboose. We would especially like to work on repairing the walls in the two bedrooms in the Home and re-wallpapering. We welcome donations to help with these exciting projects.

Read a book...watch a movie...play with trains!

The Casey Jones Train Store houses an official Museum store full of train themed gifts and a Thomas the Tank Engine corner complete with a reading nook, movie and play area that the kids absolutely love. We have regular visitors who come to the Museum just to play. There is no charge to visit the Casey Jones Train Store. We love having birthday parties at the Museum too. Call us for details at 668.12-2-2 just like a train whistle.

We were especially excited that the Train Store was featured in "Museums & More" magazine, a quality national publication. They offer industry news and product information and articles on Museum stores, zoos, aquariums, resorts and hospital gift shops.
